    Pigment Photoluminescent Photoluminescent pigments load up with light (UV, solar energy, electrical) and release slowly the stored energy by glowing in the dark. They have very long afterglow times compared to other phosphorescent materials. Using confocal microscopy, we analyzed the spatial distribution of violet, blue and yellow-green pigments dispersed within a polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) binder at 5 wt % concentration. Using this data, we calculated pigments’ size distribution in terms of count and diameter (u).
